HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI ATOMIC BOMB BLAST

THE MUSHROOM CLOUD

August 6 is celebrated as Hiroshima peace day and August 9 as Nagasaki peace day to remind the world that never again in history should such horror be re-enacted.

A CHANGED LIFE

The Japanese city of Hiroshima was the target of the world's first atomic bomb attack at
8:16 a.m. on August 6,1945.the cloud rose to over 60,000 feet in about 10 minutes.almost a
minute later after the after the crew of the air craft returned to see what had happened.the mushroom cloud had risen above them .the city was hidden in thick black smoke ...it was equally bad for Nagasaki .
Today ,the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are back on their feet.
survivors in each city ,who are called Kakashikis in Japanese, still tell the stories of how a mushroom cloud changed their lives forever .they hope that there will never be atomic bomb victims again.

FIRST BLOOM

A few buildings and other structures survived the bombings but the people looked towards nature for hope .in the city of Hiroshima ,though a number of tree species were destroyed,a few did survive ,one of them are the Camphor tree.Similarly ,the Oleander was the first flower to bloom after the bombing. But what attracted Hiroshima's attention was that this flower came to life around the anniversary of the bombing. Finally,In 1973,after a survey and voting,Hiroshima declared the Camphor to be the Hiroshima city tree and Oleander as the Hiroshima city flower.for.Nagasaki ,the Chinese Tallow tree became the city tree and the Hydrangea city flower.
